A Georgia cornerback with more than a dozen offers has given his verbal commitment to Nebraska.

On Tuesday, 3-star defensive back Malik Williams announced that he will be playing college football in a Huskers uniform. The Buford, Georgia native pulled down a total of 17 offers, including several from SEC, ACC and B1G programs during the recruiting process.

Williams made his announcement with a post on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.

Williams is listed as a 6-foot, 187-pound cornerback in the 2021 recruiting class. He’s tabbed as the No. 122 cornerback and No. 122 prospect out of the state of Georgia, per 247Sports.

Several programs at the Power Five level showed interest in Williams. He picked Nebraska over offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Pitt, South Carolina, Syracuse and UCF.

With the commitment from Williams, Nebraska is now up to 14 members in the 2021 recruiting class. The Huskers sit 33rd nationally in the recruiting rankings, and 9th in the B1G.
