Joey Bosa has signed a lucrative contract extension with the Los Angeles according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Late Tuesday night, Schefter reported that Bosa agreed to a five-year contract extension worth $135 million. The new deal will keep the star defensive end with the franchise through the next six seasons.

Per Schefter’s report, $102 million of the contract is guaranteed for Bosa, which sets a new NFL record in that category.

Bosa will be entering his fifth season in the NFL and has spent all of his early career with the Chargers. Through the first four seasons, Bosa has tallied 201 tackles, 53 stops for loss and 40 sacks. He’s also forced 5 fumbles.

Last season, Bosa registered a career-high 18 tackles for loss.

Bosa was the No. 3 overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft after an outstanding career at Ohio State.
