Michigan State installs face shields on helmet as workouts resume

Michigan State is ramping up the safety measures as players return to workouts this week, as well as begin preparations for fall camp.
Running back Brandon Wright shared a photo on Instagram on Wednesday, as the Spartans prepare to return to workouts following a 14-day quarantine by the entire team. The image showed Wright wearing a helmet, that contained a full face shield.
It appears to be an added safety precaution to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Michigan State’s entire team just came out of quarantine Wednesday, after a spike in the number of positive cases involving student-athletes and staff.

Looks like Michigan State has installed full face shields on its football helmets with activity ramping back up.

It’s unclear whether those face shields will be a permanent or temporary measure for the football season.
Michigan State is set to begin fall camp in the next few days, with the B1G approving the plan to start practices for the 2020 season.
