Now that schedules have been primarily set for the college football season and games are one month away, the USA Today Preseason Coaches Poll is officially out.
Six B1G teams cracked the Top 25 in the opening poll, with Ohio State leading the way at No. 2. The Buckeyes are a favorite to claim a B1G title this year and will also be one of they heavyweights in the national championship picture, as Ryan Day begins his second season in Columbus.
Coming off an 11-2 season, Penn State also cracked the top 10. The Nittany Lions are considered to be the biggest challenger to Ohio State and are hoping to earn a spot in the B1G Championship Game at the end of the season.
The highest ranked team out of the B1G West is Wisconsin, which sits at No. 12. The Badgers are joined by division rivals Minnesota and Iowa in the rankings. All three will be in the race to claim a division crown in 2020.
