Former Nebraska defensive back and 4-star recruit Jaiden Francois will be continuing his college football career in the AAC.

On Friday afternoon, Francois announced that UCF will be his transfer destination. He makes the decision to return to his home state of Florida after a brief stint at Nebraska.

Francois originally joined the Huskers as a 4-star member of the 2020 recruiting class. He was in Lincoln for only a few months before opting to hit the NCAA transfer portal and explore his options.

Francois, a 6-foot, 184-pound defensive back is a native of Homestead, Florida. As a recruit, he ranked as the No. 28 safety in the class and was one of the top 300 overall prospects in the cycle, coming in at No. 272 overall.

Several schools showed interest in Francois on the recruiting front, receiving 17 offers. He initially picked Nebraska over offers from Auburn, Miami, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State, among others.
