Still some hope: B1G AD reportedly says no vote taken on outlook for football season

Despite multiple reports that the B1G has already made the decision to cancel the 2020 college football season, one B1G athletic director says there’s a “lot of BS in that report,” according to Rivals.com’s Sean Callahan.
On Monday morning, both Dan Patrick and the Detroit Free Press’s Chris Solari reported that the B1G has decided to pull the plug on playing football during the 2020 season. However, Callahan cited a B1G athletic director in his report, stating that no final decision has been made.
“Lots of BS in that report,” the AD reportedly said. “I’m not saying we don’t end up there, but we’re not there yet. No vote and it’s not 12-2.”
The “12-2” the athletic director was referring to was the reported vote in which B1G presidents took in favor of not playing football this fall. Two schools were still comfortable playing per Patrick’s report — Iowa and Nebraska.
Callahan says that the 12-2 vote was among medical officials and the B1G office.

As for the 12-2…I was told that had to due with a medical call with the Big Ten office and each school. Only Nebraska and Iowa's medical officials said they were currently comfortable with everything at this time.

The B1G has not released any official statement, but the reports from Patrick and Solari state that the league is ready to make an announcement on Tuesday. We’ll see if anything changes.
For now, the report from Callahan offers at least some glimmer of hope, even if it’s short-lived.
