Former Husker players fire back at Desmond Howard over ‘get them out of the B1G’ comment

A few former Nebraska players aren’t too pleased with the recent comments made by ESPN college football analyst and former Michigan star Desmond Howard.
Joining Get Up on ESPN on Wednesday, Howard ripped Nebraska for saying it will continue to look for possibilities to play football in the fall, despite the B1G’s decision to postpone the season until spring. Howard says the Huskers are crossing the line.
“I would demand a public apology from Nebraska. If I’m Kevin Warren, right now, I’m working on a way to get their ass out of the B1G,” Howard said on Get Up. “They’re not Notre Dame, baby. They don’t have that cache.”
After seeing Howard’s comments, a few former Huskers — Jeremiah Sirles, Wyatt Mazour and Luke Gifford — fired back at the analyst for his take:

Nebraska has expressed a desire to play football, not leave the conference, all throughout the summer months. And with Ryan Day saying Ohio State is also exploring options, it appears the Husker may have at least one ally in their fight.
Things have already gotten interesting between Nebraska and the B1G office. It’s starting to trickle over into social media.
