The University of Michigan’s athletic department has released the latest results from COVID-19 testing. It has been providing weekly updates since student-athletes, staff members and coaches returned to campus.
The latest round of tests were administered between Aug. 15-Aug. 21. During that time that, 239 tests were conducted and received two positive cases. Tests were administered to student-athletes, coaches and staff.
In total, Michigan’s athletic department has conducted 1,934 COVID-19 screenings and has seen 39 positive cases. There have been 1,584 tests conducted among student-athletes with 36 positive results. Only three positive cases have been reported among the 350 screenings conducted among coaches and staff.
Currently, there are student-athletes, coaches and staff on campus from 19 different athletic programs at Michigan.
The B1G has confirmed that all fall sports have been postponed until spring.
