A model for the B1G spring football schedule is reportedly coming together.

Rivals.com reported on Wednesday that a “preliminary” model for the B1G spring football season has already been outlined. This news comes two weeks after the league canceled the fall football season.

According to the report, the current model for the spring would include an 8-game, conference-only schedule and each team would have one bye week. The season would begin the week after New Year’s Day and there would be no games held on campuses, but instead at neutral-site locations.

Those locations have not yet been determined, but given the climate in B1G country in the winter, those games would likely be played in domed stadiums.

There would also be a conference championship game between the top two teams in the league, and it’s a possibility that it could be played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. There is also reportedly conversations about the B1G and Pac-12 potentially playing its traditional Rose Bowl Game between the two conference winners.

At this time, there have been no specific details and no word from the conference on how the spring season looks.
