Ohio State is back on top in the recruiting rankings.
Thursday, the Buckeyes received a verbal pledge from 4-star defensive tackle Tyleik Williams, a native of Manassas, Virginia. The 6-foot-3, 330-pound defensive lineman is the 19th player in the 2021 recruiting class to commit to Ryan Day and company.
Williams made his commitment official by posting on Twitter. He picked Ohio State over offers from 30 other programs, including Alabama, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and many others.

With Williams’ commitment, Ohio State now owns the nation’s top-ranked recruiting class in 2021 again. That spot at been overtaken by Alabama for a short time.
From Brian Dohn, a national recruiting analyst at 247Sports:
Excellent frame with lean build. Long and athletic in space. Can easily add 30 pounds. Explodes at snap. Covers ground quickly in first three steps. Impressive body control for size. Runs well and can re-direct down line of scrimmage. Disengages quickly and locates ball carrier well. Good tackler.
Williams ranks as the No. 160 overall prospect in the 2021 class and the No. 10 defensive tackle. He also ranks No. 5 among total prospects in Virginia, regardless of position.
Ohio State now has 16 players committed in the 2021 class with a 4- or 5-star ranking.
