Purdue has released the latest results from its COVID-19 tests.

On Friday, Purdue’s athletic department has announced that it has now conducted 1,881 COVID-19 tests and has received 40 positive results. In the latest batch of screenings, there were three positive tests, all of which are active cases.

The past two weeks, Purdue had reported zero active cases within the athletic department.

A total of 636 COVID-19 tests were administered between Aug. 22 and Aug. 28 with three positive results. Purdue began testing on June 8, when student-athletes, coaches and staff started returning to campus in West Lafayette.

To date, none of the positive cases at Purdue have resulted in hospitalizations. Per the school, most of those cases were “generally” asymptomatic or symptoms were mild.
