Report: Vote tally revealed on B1G’s decision to postpone fall football season

The official vote among B1G presidents on whether or not to postpone the college football and fall sports season has been revealed.
On Monday, Nicole Auerbach of The Athletic reported that the final tally among B1G presidents and chancellors to postpone the football season was 11-3. ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg reported that those three schools that voted in favor of continuing with a fall schedule were Iowa, Nebraska and Ohio State.
Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald also reported the news last week — though it’s now official.
Presidents and commissioner Kevin Warren had been pretty quiet and vague on the league’s decision. The conference has received plenty of backlash over the last three weeks since making the call.
League sources tell ESPN that #Nebraska, #OhioState and #Iowa are the three schools that voted against postponing the fall season. This will surprise absolutely no one who has followed the story.

On Aug. 11, the B1G became the first Power 5 conference to postpone the fall football season, followed shortly by the Pac-12. Before those two leagues backed down, the MAC and Mountain West decided to cancel the fall seasons.
Now, the B1G is looking to implement a spring football season that begins as early as January. However, no details have been provided at this time from the league.
