President Trump tweets out about ‘productive conversation’ with B1G commissioner Kevin Warren
President Donald Trump and B1G commissioner Kevin Warren have apparently been in conversation about immediately starting the B1G football season this fall. Trump tweeted from his personal account on Tuesday morning.
Though Warren has said that the B1G’s decision was final and that they’re working towards implementing a spring season, there might be some momentum to start the season sooner than expected.
“Had a very productive conversation with Kevin Warren, Commissioner of the Big Ten Conference, about immediately starting up Big Ten football,” Trump tweeted. “Would be good (great!) for everyone – Players, Fans, Country. On the one yard line!”

B1G presidents were the ones who voted against a season by an 11-3 tally. Only Iowa, Nebraska and Ohio State were in favor of moving forward with a fall schedule.
According to Austin Ward of Lettermen Row, there are more meetings scheduled for the B1G before making a decision, but there has been “very positive” conversations.
