The first weekend of the college football season is coming to a close. But before we turn the page on Week 1, there’s still one more game to take in on Monday night.

BYU and Navy are set to square off on Monday night, bringing the first weekend of the season to a close. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET and the contest will air on ESPN. BYU is currently a 1-point favorite for the game.

Navy is fresh off an 11-2 campaign in 2019 and finishing the year ranked No. 20. The only two losses for the Midshipmen came against Memphis and Notre Dame last fall.

BYU was 7-6 last season but had a strong midseason run to earn bowl eligibility. After starting the year 2-4, the Cougars rattled off five straight victories — including an upset win over No. 14 Boise State — to hit the 7-win mark. BYU then lost its final two games, including a 38-34 defeat to Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl.

Monday night’s contest will mark the third meeting between the two programs, with both teams winning one game. The last time Navy and BYU played was in 1989.
