A scary moment occurred near the end of Saturday’s Arkansas State-Kansas State game that involved Wildcats safety Wayne Jones.
In the fourth quarter of Saturday’s game, Jones collided with an Arkansas State running back and appeared to take a hit to the helmet. The safety remained on the ground for some time after the hit, and he was eventually carted off the field and taken to a nearby hospital.
The injury forced the FOX broadcast team to take an extended break as medical personnel tended to Jones on the field.

Hopefully there’s good news on Jones soon.
Jones totaled 6 tackles in Saturday’s season opener for Kansas State. He is a redshirt sophomore for the Wildcats, and totaled 57 tackles and a pass break-up last season.
The Wildcats fell to the Red Wolves 35-31 in Manhattan.
