‘What if I told you…’: Justin Fields recommends ’30 for 30′ feature if Ohio State wins national title

Justin Fields is making his pitch to ESPN right now — if Ohio State wins a national championship, he believes the network should get busy on a 30 for 30 documentary. It certainly would be interesting.

Fields spoke with reporters on Friday, just two days after the B1G reinstated the 2020 fall football season. The junior quarterback was one of the MVPs to getting the season back on track, not only voicing his comfort with moving forward with a schedule, but launching a petition for the B1G to reverse course and making numerous appearances on radio shows and television programs to discuss the situation.

Because of the unique circumstances the B1G players and coaches faced this offseason, Fields believes the story is deserving of a 30 for 30 documentary from ESPN. Even more so if the Buckeyes are able to accomplish their goals and win a national championship.

“It’s definitely going to go down in the history books,” Fields said, according to BuckeyeScoop.com.

Going from a postponed — potentially canceled — season to national championship would be a story unlike anything we’ve seen. Obviously, there’s still a long way to go for Ohio State, but the B1G’s decision to reinstate the season puts the Buckeyes right back in the national championship conversation.

Ohio State finished the 2019 season with a 13-1 record, winning the B1G title and earning a spot in the College Football Playoff. Fields was a Heisman finalist, accounting for 51 touchdowns for the Bucks as a first-time starter.
