Two former B1G offensive linemen have been graded as having two of the best performances on the field among NFL rookies this weekend.
Pro Football Focus (PFF) recently released its grades for the second week of the NFL season. Two of the three highest-graded rookie offensive linemen were former B1G standouts. Iowa’s Tristan Wirfs and Ohio State’s Jonah Jackson ranked No. 1 and No. 3 respectively in PFF’s grades for Week 2.
Wirfs was a first-round selection, taken by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jackson was a third-round pick, selected by the Detroit Lions.
According to Pro Football Focus, Wirfs graded at an 86.0 while Jackson was at 77.2. Between the two was former LSU lineman Damien Lewis at 81.2, who is now a member of the Seattle Seahawks.

Both Wirfs and Jackson were starting linemen at their respective schools in 2019. Before transferring to Ohio State, Jackson also was a key cog up front for Rutgers.
The B1G is known for producing quality offensive linemen who perform well at the next level. That tradition continued on Sunday.
