There’s a really good chance that this weekend’s Associated Press poll is virtually unrecognizable from the previous weeks. Thanks to the news that the B1G, Pac-12 and Mountain West have returned, this week’s rankings could be a lot more inclusive.

On Friday, the Associated Press announced that the three leagues that have reinstated their fall football seasons will officially be eligible for the Top 25 come this weekend. The MAC will also be eligible, should it decide to reinstate the football season prior to Sunday, as well.

Back in August, the MAC, Mountain West, B1G and Pac-12 all initially postponed their football seasons until spring. The MAC was the first FBS league to make the call and the B1G was the first Power 5 league to make the announcement.

Since then. the B1G, Pac-12 and Mountain West have all reversed their decisions. The MAC’s presidents are meeting to discuss a similar return.

After being absent from the Associated Press poll for the past few weeks, there’s a chance this weekend’s rankings include all 10 FBS conferences. It could result in a much different Top 25 than what we’ve seen over previous weeks.

The Associated Press poll is released each Sunday at approximately 2 p.m. ET.
