It was another chaotic weekend in college football. For a second-straight Saturday, upsets were the theme of the sport.

Eight ranked teams fell on the first Saturday of October, with the most notable being No. 9 Texas dropping a 33-31 contest to TCU. Other teams upset this weekend included:

  • Tulsa def. No. 11 UCF — 34-26
  • Arkansas def. No. 16 Mississippi State — 21-14
  • Iowa State def. No. 18 Oklahoma — 37-30
  • NC State def. No. 24 Pitt — 30-29
  • SMU def. No. 25 Memphis — 30-27

Two other ranked teams lost this weekend, but all fell to higher ranked opponents: No. 4 Georgia def. No. 7 Auburn and No. 2 Alabama def. No. 13 Texas A&M.

With more chaos, there’s been some serious changes to ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) rankings. Six B1G teams are still in the Top 25:

  • No. 1: Ohio State
  • No. 5: Wisconsin
  • No. 7: Penn State
  • No. 18: Michigan
  • No. 22: Indiana
  • No. 24 Northwestern

Here’s where the other eight B1G teams stand:

  • No. 26: Iowa
  • No. 29: Minnesota
  • No. 37: Nebraska
  • No. 49: Purdue
  • No. 60: Illinois
  • No. 73: Michigan State
  • No. 80: Rutgers
  • No. 84: Maryland
