Well, it’s going to be a crazy year. That’s probably something most of us already understood, but it was made very apparent this weekend, when eight teams ranked in the Associated Press Poll were defeated on Saturday.

Six of those losses were to unranked opponents.

No. 9 Texas was the most surprising loss of the weekend, falling 33-31 to TCU. And with No. 18 Oklahoma dropping a 37-30 contest to Iowa State, the Big 12’s College Football Playoff hopes seem to reside solely on Oklahoma State.

No. 11 UCF was defeated by Tulsa, while No. 25 Memphis was downed by SMU, as those two Group of 5 ranked teams fell. No 16 Mississippi State lost to Arkansas and No. 24 Pitt took a hit from NC State, as well.

The two ranked teams that lost to other ranked opponents came from SEC country, as No. 4 Georgia smacked No. 7 Auburn and No. 2 Alabama took care of No. 13 Texas A&M.

Here’s what the Week 6 Associated Press Poll looks like following Saturday’s action:

#1 Clemson

#2 Alabama

#3 Georgia

#4 Florida
