Record setter: Former Iowa TE Noah Fant makes Denver Broncos history through first 20 games

Former Iowa tight end Noah Fant is making some history with the Denver Broncos early in his NFL career.
Fant’s second season with the Broncos is off to a strong start, totaling 19 catches for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns through the first four games of the 2020 campaign. When you add that total to the numbers he produced through the first 16 games of his career in 2019, the former Hawkeye made a little history for the franchise.
Per the DenverBroncos.com website, Fant’s 59 catches and 781 yards in his career are the most in team history for a tight end through the first 20 games of their career. So far, he’s really lived up to that first-round pick status.
In those 20 games, Fant has also recorded 4 touchdown receptions.
The tight end was taken with the No. 20 overall pick during the 2019 NFL Draft. He was one of two Iowa tight ends selected that year, along with T.J. Hockenson, who was selected No. 8 overall by the Detroit Lions.
At Iowa, Fant caught 78 passes for 1,082 yards and 19 touchdowns in three seasons.
