Ohio State RB Trey Sermon tells Buckeye fans what to expect from him on the field during BTN interview

Trey Sermon has a lot of confidence in his abilities on the field. The former Oklahoma running back believes he’s capable of doing just about anything the Ohio State staff asks.
Even though Sermon is an experienced ball carrier, there is some unfamiliarity with Ohio State fans. The running back spent his career playing for the Sooners before transferring to Columbus to suit up for the Buckeyes. So, what should we expect from Sermon during the 2020 season?
“I’m really a dynamic running back,” Sermon said in an interview with Big Ten Network. “I can catch out of the backfield, I can block, I have pretty good vision, as well. So, I feel like, with all those traits, I’ll really be able to help out and contribute and help this team win.”
During his three seasons on the field at Oklahoma, Sermon ran for 2,076 yards and 22 touchdowns, while also adding 391 receiving yards and 3 touchdown catches. He brings plenty of experience to the Ohio State backfield.
Sermon and Master Teague III will likely take a majority of the snaps out of the backfield for the Buckeyes during the 2020 season. They both have big shoes to fill, attempting to replace do-it-all back J.K. Dobbins, who racked up over 2,000 rushing yards during the 2019 campaign.
Ohio State is scheduled to open the season on Oct. 24 against Nebraska.
