Nebraska will have a brand new alternate uniform for the 2020 season. The team revealed what the combination will look like on Tuesday afternoon with a “haunting” hype video.

The Huskers will celebrate the “Legend of the Blackshirts” this year, a tribute to the hard-nosed, physical brand of defensive football the team has been known to play. However, the uniform is not black.

Instead, this year’s alternate uniform is a white helmet, with a white jersey and black pants. The skull-and-crossbones logo is also stitched onto the uniform, paying tribute to the Blackshirts.

Nebraska will open the season on Oct. 24 against Ohio State in Columbus. The first home game is scheduled for the following week, when the Huskers host Wisconsin.
