The B1G East division has been all Ohio State in recent history.

Since the B1G realigned its two divisions in 2014, Ohio State has won four division titles. That includes three straight East titles and B1G Championship Game victories heading into the 2020 season.

With the Buckeyes returning starting quarterback Justin Fields and a host of playmakers offensively, Ohio State remains the heavy favorite to get back to Indianapolis for a fourth straight year. At this point, the only question is which team is best poised to challenge Ryan Day’s Buckeyes for the division title.

Urban Meyer was asked that question during a recent BTN segment, and he thinks the answer is clear. For Meyer, the big three in the East are clearly Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State. However, though The Game maybe Ohio State’s biggest rivalry, Meyer believes James Franklin’s Penn State squad is the team best equipped to challenge the Buckeyes.

Here’s what he had to say:

Will Ohio State’s dominance continue, or will the Nittany Lions – or anyone else – put an end to this run by the Buckeyes?
