Turtle trouble: Maryland starting DT reportedly enters transfer portal days before season opener
Maryland received some tough news Thursday as starting defensive tackle Oluwaseun Oluwatimi has reportedly entered the transfer portal.
That’s according to the Detroit Free Press’ Rainer Sabin:

The @Freep has learned Maryland defensive lineman Seun Oluwatimi, a starter in 2019, has entered the transfer portal with the intention of moving to another school as a graduate student.

Oluwatimi was a standout for the Terrapins last season, producing at a high level while starting all 12 games. He recorded a career-high in tackles (22), solo tackles (15) and tackles for loss (6.5). For his career, Oluwaimi has 56 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and two forced fumbles in 35 games.
However, he was not listed on Maryland’s depth chart that the school released earlier this week.
Junior Ami Finau and sophomore Mosiah Nasili-Kite are listed as the starters at interior defensive line.
It’s too early to speculate where Oluwatimi may end up, but he does have a brother who plays center at the University of Virginia.
