A common bowl destination for B1G teams will not be played following the 2020 season.
On Thursday, the Holiday Bowl announced that the popular bowl game played in San Diego, California was being canceled for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was set to be the 43rd edition of the game that traditionally pits B1G competition against a team from the Pac-12.

The most recent winner of the game was Iowa who took down USC in 2019. Teams from the B1G also hold a five-game winning streak in the Holiday Bowl with Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan State, and Northwestern also notching wins since 2015.
With the B1G hitting the field this week and the Pac-12 still a couple of weeks away, it will be interesting to see what bowl season may look like come December.
