At least three new bowl games are in danger of being impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report.

That comes from Mark Blaudschun, who cites that bowl games scheduled to be played at Fenway Park as well as in Los Angeles and Myrtle Beach are likely to be “postponed.”

Earlier this week, it was the announced the Holiday Bowl will not take place due to the pandemic.

If these games do end up being canceled, it would put a dent in the number of teams who will be able to enjoy a bowl trip at the end of the year. Last season, nine Big Ten teams made a bowl game.

The Fenway Park bowl was slated to be the ACC vs. the AAC. The LA Bowl was expected to be the Pac-12 vs. the Mountain West. The Myrtle Beach bowl was scheduled to be the Sun Belt vs. the AAC or the MAC.

The Big Ten’s march toward bowl seasons gets underway Friday night as Illinois travels to Wisconsin at 8 p.m.
