The Little Brown Jug is on the line in Minneapolis on Saturday — and that won’t be the only thing at stake.

On Saturday, No. 18 Michigan will take on No. 21 Minnesota in the season opener in an ABC primetime showdown. The two rivals have not played since 2017, but to open the season against one another with major B1G implications at stake puts an emphasis on victory right out of the gate.

Friday night, about 24 hours before the two teams are set for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff, Minnesota dropped an incredible hype trailer. It will give Golden Gophers fans goosebumps:

Minnesota is coming off an 11-2 season, highlighted by big wins over Penn State and Auburn in the Outback Bowl. The Golden Gophers are a favorite to compete in the B1G West, and a win over Michigan would validate the preseason hype.

The Wolverines bring a tough squad to the Twin Cities, coming off a 9-4 campaign of their own. They’ll be looking to prove something right out of the gate, as Jim Harbaugh begins his sixth season at U-M.
