Opening on the road against a top-five Ohio State team was already going to be a challenge for Nebraska. Now things get even more difficult for the Huskers.
As Nebraska warmed up for Saturday’s game, three key players were absent. Most notably was Omar Manning, an up and coming junior college transfer who Husker coach Scott Frost mentioned might not make the trip earlier this week.
The Omaha World-Herald had the news:
Omar Manning and two notable players on defense are not with the #Huskers in Columbus for the Ohio State game.@EvanBlandOWH has the latest observations from before kickoff https://t.co/3Ru61NIjuh

The other two key absences include inside linebacker Luke Reimer and defensive lineman Jordon Riley.
Reimer is a former walk on and Lincoln native. Riley, like Manning, is a juco transfer.
This report comes via the Omaha World-Herald. Nebraska did not formally announce a travel roster, which is normally customary.
