The first targeting ejection of the 2020 B1G season now belongs to Cam Taylor-Britt.
In what was a very quick play live, Taylor-Britt was flagged for targeting after helmet-to-helmet contact with Ohio State running back Steele Chambers. The call was reviewed and upheld.
All targeting calls appear to be a bit controversial, and this one was no different. There was helmet-to-helmet contact, though the hit came as Chambers was falling to the ground. That moved the target window of Taylor-Britt’s hit which may have been harmless had Chambers not been falling.

Either way, the call went against Nebraska. The defense will now have to deal with the absence of Taylor-Britt defensively. JoJo Domann was also flagged for targeting earlier in the game, but review overturned that call.
