Justin Fields describes ‘weird’ experience playing in front of empty Ohio Stadium

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields acknowledged the awkwardness of playing in front of an empty Ohio Stadium for the first time on Saturday.
“It was definitely weird,” Fields told reporters after the Buckeeys’ 52-17 win over Nebraska. “I was looking at the stands to celebrate with some fans but nobody was really out there.”
There was certainly a lot of celebration to do for Fields and Ohio State. The 2019 Heisman Trophy finalist completed 20 of 21 passes for 276 yards and two scores. He also added a team-high 54 rushing yards and a score on the ground.
Ohio State coach Ryan Day prepared the Buckeyes for the lack of energy in the stadium with a speech that the Buckeyes posted in a hype video earlier this week.

Fields also said after the game that he was sore, but it doesn’t sound too serious.
