If Waddle has to miss significant time, there would implications felt across college football. He’s a potential Biletnikoff Award winner and arguably Alabama’s best player.
So far this season, Waddle had recorded 25 catches for 557 yards and four touchdowns in just four games. He had nearly eclipsed his total yards for all of last season at 560 and was averaging 22.3 yards per reception.
John Metchie III, Slade Bolden and Devonta Smith will all likely see an increase in production as a result of Waddle’s absence. All three of those receivers caught at least three passes in the first half against Tennessee.
This game is being broadcast on CBS.
