Say what you want about the SEC.

Say what you want about LSU.

Say what you want about Les Miles.

But Leonard Fournette is a good dude.

The Heisman Trophy candidate was the subject of some trash talk from 2017 Nebraska commit Avery Roberts. On Tuesday, the four-star linebacker responded to a picture of Fournette posted by a scout:

Roberts quoted the tweet and said “Same thing I would do to anyone else….Tell him good night and put him to sleep!”

The tweet was quickly deleted. But that wasn’t the end of it.

Fournette sent a direct message to Roberts, and no, it wasn’t a response of track talk. Instead, Fournette delivered some uplifting words to the future Husker:

The irony is that Fournette will likely be off to the NFL by the time Roberts enrolls at Nebraska. Still, it’s encouraging to see that the two struck up some mutual respect of one another.
