Turning point? Lamont Wade’s INT sets up 35-yard TD run for Sean Clifford

With just over 10 minutes ticking off the clock in the second half, both Indiana and Penn State had only possessed the ball once, and the Nittany Lions were looking for something, anything, to get their offense going.

The Nittany Lions had put together a 15 play drive, eating nearly eight minutes off the clock. But a 47-yard field goal by Jake Pinegar missed wide left. Penagar hasmore field goals in the game (2) than he had all of last season (1).

After handing the ball back to the Hoosier offense, the defense came up big and created the spark.

With Indiana up 17-7, and driving, Lamont Wade came up big with an interception. The turnover setup the Nittany Lion offense with excellent field position at their own 42, and they took advantage of it.

Shortly after, on a 2nd and long redshirt junior Quarterback Sean Clifford scampered into the endzone to give Penn State their first touchdown since their opening drive of the game.
