Doink times four: Game-winning field goal attempt for Rice improbably rattles around goalposts

Kickers know plenty of heartbreak, but this kick was just brutal.
In Saturday’s game for Rice, the Owls had an opportunity to kick a game-winning field goal. It was far from a gimme, but it is the kind of kick you want your kicker to be able to drill.
Unfortunately, the goalposts were particularly unkind on the kick. The game-winning try bounced not once, not twice, and not even three times but four times on its way back into the field of play.
That made this kick no-good and would lead to heartbreak for Rice:
Rice just basically kneeled three straight plays and kicked a 45 yard fg for the win in OT and this happened. pic.twitter.com/EyxpYfrfSS
