Drew Brees becomes first QB in NFL history to reach incredible career milestone

The NFL records and achievements continue to come to New Orleans Saints quarterback and former Purdue Boilermaker Drew Brees.
During Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers, Brees became the first NFL quarterback in history to complete 7,000 passes. The completion came in the first half in the midst of the Saints’ 27-24 win over the Panthers.

This completion record just adds to the insane amount of records the former Super Bowl champion has under his belt. His NFL records include career passing completions, pass attempts, completion percentage, passing yards and touchdown passes.
Brees’ career continues to be remarkable despite starting to show his age at 41. We haven’t seen Brees in the Big Ten in 20 years, but there are plenty of Purdue fans who take pride in seeing this former Boilermaker continue to break records in the NFL.
