Purdue coach Jeff Brohm wasn’t able to be on the sidelines during his team’s game vs. Iowa due to his COVID-19 diagnosis, so he watched the game from home.
With the rest of his family at the game, coach Brohm had the entire house to himself except for the family dog, Coco.
It sounds like Coco would’ve preferred a different arrangement.
Jeff Brohm said he yelled a few times during the game and startled the family dog.

Brohm: Had multiple TVs on during the game. When he yelled a few times, he scared the dog. Felt bad.

Imagine what it would have been like for Coco if the Boilermakers had lost!
Instead, Brohm’s team edged out a 24-20 victory over Iowa thanks in-part to a three touchdown performance from receiver David Bell.
Still, it’s not hard to imagine what Brohm’s emotions must have looked like in that situation.
Thankfully, Brohm said the pandemic has allowed him to have more time to walk Coco on a regular basis.
Brohm's dog is named Coco, which he says he walked often during pandemic.

Even better news for Coco: Brohm likely won’t have to watch a game from home again this season. He says he’s hopeful to be back with the program by Wednesday.
Purdue’s game vs. Iowa will kick off at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
