“I’ll never wear anything else,” Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said in 2017.

The statement was made when Harbaugh told ESPN’s Jeff Darlington he made the switch from his trusty $8 no-name pants for a $128 pair of Lululemon-brand slacks.

Well, never say never.

Harbaugh displayed a new look on the sidelines in Minneapolis during the Wolverines’ 49-24 win over Minnesota on Saturday at TCF Bank Stadium. The dependable light brown look was replaced with blue threads for Harbaugh, while the rest of the coaches were still in khakis.

He talked about the change with Brad Galli, sports director at WXYZ in Detroit during a segment of Inside the Huddle

“You don’t want to become stale bread, or over ripe fruit, or burnt meat,” said Harbaugh. “That’s not good.”
