Purdue picked up a solid commitment on Friday.

2021 Arkansas ATH Ja’Quez Cross announced on Friday that he’s committing to Purdue. Cross is a three-star prospect and the No. 14 ranked player in Arkansas, according to 247Sports.

“I would like to thank the entire staff of Purdue for believing in me and giving me an opportunity to display my talents at the next level,” Cross said. Cross was committed to South Dakota State prior to committing to Purdue. Cross decommitted from South Dakota State on Oct. 20.

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Cross started at receiver and safety at Fordyce High School in 2019. It will be interesting to see how Jeff Brohm deploys Cross once he arrives at Purdue.
