Maryland’s offense is seriously cooking in the first half against Minnesota.

The Terrapins scored touchdowns on their first three possessions of the game on Friday night, building an early 21-7 lead over the Gophers. One of the more impressive plays of the (early) contest came late in the 1st quarter, when Taulia Tagovailoa hit Jeshaun Jones for a 76-yard touchdown pass.

It was a 1-play drive that resulted in a Maryland touchdown and a 14-point advantage in the game. Tagovailoa delivered a beautiful pass to Jones, who then blazed past the Minnesota secondary:

That was Tagovailoa’s second touchdown pass of the game and third touchdown overall.

On Maryland’s first three drives, Tagovailoa completed 7-of-8 passes for 145 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also rushed for 64 yards and a score on 3 carries.
