Report: Jim Harbaugh has sights set on satellite camp tour in 2017

If you were hoping that Jim Harbaugh was going to end his now annual satellite camp tour after 2016, sorry.

He doesn’t have any plans of slowing down. Well, at least not unless the NCAA makes him.

During his camp in Houston, Harbaugh was asked about the possibility of having a similar international satellite camp tour in 2017. His answer was about what you’d expect.

“I’m having more fun than I’ve had in a long time, so I don’t see why not,” Harbaugh told espn.com.

That shouldn’t come as any surprise considering his strong vocal stance on the matter. Harbaugh was in Houston on Monday and Dallas on Tuesday as part of his 20-state tour in June.

In the middle of his month of satellite camps, he was asked about whether or not the schedule was wearing on him.

“If you don’t like this, if you don’t like coming out and teaching,” Harbaugh said to the Houston Chronicle, “you might’ve picked the wrong profession.”

Harbaugh’s quote came out the same day that a different stance on satellite camps made the internet rounds:

Harbaugh, obviously, doesn’t seem to fit in that category. All signs out of camp are that he’s as energetic and lively as ever.

He’s still continuing his never-ending jersey shuffling, too. During his stops in Texas, Harbaugh represented the likes of J.J. Watt, former Stanford player and Houston native Michael Thomas, and Derek Holland, who was at Michigan’s “Signing of the Stars” event in February.

Will Harbaugh get a restriction on his tour in 2017? That remains to be seen.

For now, it appears he’s appreciating every bit of it while it lasts.
