Maryland wasted no time in trolling Minnesota following Friday night’s 45-44 overtime victory. The Terps wanted to have their message heard pretty quick.

The Terrapins overcame a 38-21 deficit in the 4th quarter to force overtime and snuck out a 45-44 victory. It was the first win of the season for Maryland, and just Mike Locksley’s second B1G win since taking over the program before the 2019 season.

After the game, Maryland’s official Twitter account shared a graphic of QB Taulia Tagovailoa — the hero of the game — with the wording “Boat Rowed” with a sinking canoe in the backdrop. The text of the tweet also read “CAPSIZED.”

It was fitting to have Tagovailoa as the chosed representative on the photo, too. The QB had a huge night, throwing for 394 yards and 3 touchdowns with just 1 interception while completing 26-of-35 pass attempts.

Tagovailoa also rushed for 64 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 8 carries, including the game-winning score.

Maryland improved to 1-1 on the season with the victory while Minnesota is now 0-2.
