Despite being a Heisman Trophy favorite already this season, Justin Fields is still improving according to head coach Ryan Day.

Speaking on ESPN’s College Gameday, Day said, “I think last week was a good start. I think in the offseason, Justin in particular did a good job of working really hard to get the ball out quicker, changing his body, and then in the film room.”

That’s all paying huge dividends for Fields as last week he went 20/21 passing for 276 yards and threw two touchdown passes for Ohio State. They ended up blowing Nebraska out 52-17.

He also added a lot for the ground game against the Cornhuskers as he had 15 rushes for 54 yards and a rushing touchdown.

He’ll look to continue his outstanding start to the season tonight as the Buckeyes play Penn State. The game will be nationally televised on ABC at 7:30 p.m. ET.
