Michigan answers back, ties score early with first career TD by Blake Corum

The score is off and running in the Big House!

Surprisingly, Michigan did not score first when taking on Michigan State Saturday. Though entering the rivalry game as big favorites, it was a long touchdown throw by Michigan State quarterback Rocky Lombardi that opened the scoring.

Fortunately, the Wolverines wasted no time coming right back down the field. Joe Milton led the offense on a long, steady drive down inside Michigan State territory.

After setting up a first-and-goal from the eight-yard line, it was a run by true freshman Blake Corum that finished the drive off with a touchdown. Corum took the handoff around the right side and beat the defense to the corner, finding the end zone with an impressive burst on the edge.

It goes down as the first career touchdown for one of the top prospects from the 2020 recruiting class:
