Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is understandably disappointed in his team following a 27-24 loss to Michigan State on Saturday afternoon.
In speaking with reporters after the game, Harbaugh dwelled on a lack of execution on third down and at the end of drives.
The Wolverines went 7-of-17 on third down, but had two key drives stall out in the second half. The Spartans forced Michigan to punt after eight-play drives on two separate occasions after half time.
Additionally, their final touchdown drive of the game took a whopping 18 plays and didn’t leave enough time for the Wolverines to complete their comeback attempt.
Here’s what Harbaugh had to say after Michigan’s stunning loss:
Michigan’s Joe Milton was asked if he knew MSU’s Antjuan Simmons was so good.
“I wasn’t really worried about him. He’s a heck of a player, but he wasn’t really on my radar,” he said. pic.twitter.com/pLOZ7dyiFZ

Jim Harbaugh: “We would be in rhythm, and then we wouldn’t.”

Harbaugh: I thought it was a good play call [Haskins' throw]. It just needed a little more height on the throw.
