Gold and Blue fans are disappointed, and they’re not afraid to say so.
When Michigan State upset No. 13 Michigan, 27-24 on Saturday, there weren’t 107,000 in the stands at the Big House to express their discontent.
But this is 2020, and there are plenty of ways for fans to do that, and social media, along with Wolverine alumni in the media pulled no punches.
There were no fluke plays or dumb turnovers at fault today, but Spartan quarterback Rocky Lombardi has his way with the Michigan secondary. Lombardi passed for 323 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Spartans offense. His favorite target, Ricky White pulled in eight passes for 196 yards with a touchdown.
Former Michigan safety, and Fox Sports analyst Charles Woodson was quick to express his concern over his former defensive backfield.
"Michigan's secondary and those coaches better get it together because if they don't, it's going to be a long season."@CharlesWoodson reacts to Michigan's loss vs Michigan State ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/eVxRdV5Gc4
