Record breakers: Ohio State’s win over Penn State sets, ties multiple NCAA records

Ohio State’s win over Penn State didn’t just mean bragging rights against one of their biggest rivals. The Buckeyes also tied a record as they’ve now won 10 straight road games against ranked teams.
OSU has also won 17 straight Big Ten conference games, which is the longest active streak in the FBS.

Based on their schedule right now, Ohio State may have to wait another year to break the first record. None of their remaining games (as of now) have them going to play a ranked team on the road.
As for the second streak, they have a chance to keep adding to that one. They can extend that streak to as many as 23 straight conference wins if they win the rest of their regular-season games.
The chance to get at least get to 18 comes next Saturday against Rutgers.
