Receiver David Bell arrived for Purdue at the perfect moment.
The Boilermakers are without star receiver Rondale Moore due to an unspecified reason, but Bell’s emergence as one of the nation’s best receivers has made Moore’s absence a moot point.
“There’s not one bad attribute he has,” Brohm told reporters at his weekly press conference on Monday morning. “David has been perfect at everything he has done to this point.”
Jeff Brohm with extremely high praise for sophomore WR David Bell, who has been exceptional in the first two games.

Through two games, Bell has 22 catches for 243 yards and four touchdowns. He was excellent a year ago, too, but is now on pace to clear 1,000 yards again with a much shorter schedule.
Bell has been clutch, too. He made a game-sealing catch on third down in Purdue’s 31-24 win over Illinois in Week 2.

Back in Week 1 against Iowa, Bell made a game-winning touchdown catch with just over two minutes remaining:

Bell’s production is a huge reason why the Boilermakers are 2-0 despite not having Moore.
Purdue faces Wisconsin this week at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
