At 0-2, Penn State has a lot of self-reflection to do.

One of those areas to look at is apparently kick returning. The Nittany Lions haven’t done much actual returning on kickoffs lately. Following practice on Wednesday, Penn State head coach James Franklin spoke on his team’s willingness to just take it at the 25-yard line.

A big analytics flex by Franklin, and he’s probably right. That does seem like a minor issue for Penn State.

Here’s what else he had to say:

The Nittany Lions are 0-2 and looking for their first win this week against Maryland. Hopefully Franklin and company are able to get off to a hot start this weekend.
