Hinch and Fetter worked together with the #Padres years ago. They could have been the manager-pitching coach pairing in Chicago, if the #WhiteSox hadn’t hired La Russa. Instead, they’ll lead the division rival #Tigers. @MLBNetwork @MLB

According to the university, Fetter was hired in July of 2017 after serving as the minor league pitching coordinator for the Los Angeles Dodgers. In his three seasons with the Wolverines, Michigan advanced to the 2019 College World Series Final and saw three pitchers selected within the first three rounds of the MLB Draft.
While losing Fetter would undoubtedly a big blow to Michigan’s coaching staff, it is definitely exciting to see him make the jump to the MLB level.
